Methoxy PEG Succinimidyl Glutarate (Methoxy PEG SG) is a high quality amine reactive methyl ether NHS PEG product from JenKem Technology. Methoxy PEG SG is a degradable PEG with a cleavable ester linker between the PEG polymeric chain and the NHS ester. Linear NHS PEGs with a Cleavable Linker (degradable PEGs) are especially employed in controlled release drug development applications. Methoxy PEG Succinimidyl Glutarate reacts with the amine group of lysine(s) at pH 7-8, while the ester linkage is cleaved under regular ester cleaving reaction conditions. Methoxy PEG Succinimidyl Glutarate has a slightly longer hydrolysis half life compared to Methoxy PEG Succinimidyl Succinate. JenKem Technology offers Methoxy PEG SG with MW 5000 Da (M-SG-5000) and MW 20000 Da (M-SG-20K), in 1g and 10g packing sizes.
